These prizes look amazing. How do I get in on this???
Every paid attendee will receive one entry into the giveaways. There are over 45 prizes, including 10 carriers! You must be present to win. Giveaways will be drawn at 12:30.
What is the deal with the door prize?
You will receive a BINGO form when you arrive. If you get at least 2 BINGOS then turn it in to the front desk before 2:00. At 2:00 we will choose one winner to win a basket of goodies from our vendors. Must be present to win.
I would really love to come celebrate babywearing but $5 isn’t in the cards right now, do I have any options?

Can you tell me about the private consultations?
One of the activities available during our IBW Bash will be the opportunity to sign up for a *15 minute* private consultation with an educator focused on the area of your choice. Typically this type of service would cost around $30. For this event, we are asking your support for this fundraising effort (minimum $5, suggested $10-$20). Please send your payment through PayPal to chicagolandbabywearing@gmail.com. We will have a limited library available during the consultations based on your area of need. Sign-up here!
What can I do for lunch?
We are very lucky to have the Boomers Stadium selling food for the event: hot dogs, nachos, chips, candy, pop, and water. Please feel free to bring your own if you have dietary restrictions. There will be two suites where you can relax and eat!
What can I expect out of this event?
Fun! And babywearing! In addition, there will be speakers, vendors, games, food, and lots of opportunity for support as a caregiver and babywearer!
Can I bring my children?
Absolutely! There is a place on the ticket registration to document what children will be with you. Additionally, we will have a feeding area and a changing area (with supplies and staffed by an IBCLC) to support your needs with littles!
What is there for kids to do?
We have two kids’ room with free activities as well as paid carnival games (the fee goes directly to our group as part of our fundraising efforts!). Additionally there will be a face painter in Lobby 1 (for a fee) and a balloon twister (until 11:00) who is working for tips!

Why is it so far away?!
Chicagoland Babywearing serves all of Cook, all of Lake, all of DuPage and some of Kane County. We are a huge area! It means we serve a lot of caregivers and kids. Unfortunately, it also means that it is quite a drive for many attendees. But it is still worth it! We look every year for a location that will fit within our budget and also be accessible for our attendees.
How can I get there?
The Schaumburg Boomers Stadium is located right off the 390 expressway (you can even see it from the expressway!). Additionally, it shares a parking lot with the Schaumburg Metra lot!
What is the purpose of the event?
First, it is a fun way to celebrate International Babywearing Week with other caregivers who would like to celebrate their love of babywearing. Second, it is a fundraiser for our chapter so we can continue to buy new carriers for members to try on and borrow and provide outreach at a variety of events throughout the year.
Can I buy a VIP ticket and get a SWAG bag if I know I can’t make it?
Sorry! The swag bags are only for attendees who are attending the Bash in person. There are a limited number and we need to make sure our attendees get access to them first!
Can I sell my VIP bag to someone else?
Sure! If you can’t make it and find someone to buy your bag off of you please just email us at IBW(at)BWIchicagoland(dot)org. It needs to be picked up by the ticket holder in person.
Can I make a donation to Chicagoland Babywearing to help support the group?
Absolutely! You can make a donation by sending PayPal to chicagolandbabywearing(at)gmail(dot)com, through TicketLeap the even website, or with cash at the event. Donations help us offset the cost of the event, purchase new carriers for our library, and provide outreach in our community. Our group is all volunteer run and we rely on the support of our members and community to keep up our efforts!
Where should I park?
Park in the lot right in front of the entrance and enter through the VIP entrance. Then you will go to the 3rd floor and check in!
